The earth,
The stars,
The song of the wind,
The sight of the sea,
Absorbing her within,
She strapped up her boots,
Embarked onto trek,
Suspicion arose,
But she tried to forget.
The night began to fall,
Leaves whistling with sin,
They tested her faith,
To see if she’s in,
Riverbed of tears,
She started to loose sight,
Frightened with pain,
They blew out her light,
Caught in the web,
Darkness kept caving,
Eruption of memories,
That kept on replaying.
She looked up to the sky,
Asked God, “Where do I go?”
There was no response,
Just the stars up aglow,
So she walked to the pond,
Glittering with moon,
Washed off her face,
And slept in her cocoon,
Monsters and goblins taunting with fear,
She closed her eyes shut,
To pretend they were not here,
Restless and bushed,
Dawn beginning to rise,
Fairies and fawns,
Greeted her with delight,
They said,
Come with me child,
We’ll take you through our trail,
To show you the kingdom,
Hold onto this rail,
As the Sun shone bright,
Birds rose from their nest,
They chirped with such bliss,
Her heart felt expressed.
As she lead her last way,
And said her fair-wells,
This one little fairy,
Burst out from her shell,
“You beautiful girl
Keep your head held high!,
There's no need to fret,
There's no need to cry,
See there is no universe,
Without someone like you,
The earth, stars and sea,
Fit your soul like a shoe.
Her spirits were warm,
Her heart was content,
She strapped up her boots,
Embarked onto trek
Distant afar now,
And nearing complete,
She stopped at a tree,
Adoring with treats,
She asked very politely,
If she may pluck from its bloom,
The tree said very kindly
Yes you may do!
The sky was golden,
She sang to herself,
About
The earth, stars, and seas,
So her mind didn’t dwell.
Roaming among flowers,
The fragrance was pure,
Her mouth felt parched,
Its been a tiresome tour!
Out a distance,
She hears crashing of waves,
Running with joy
Her footprints were paved,
Right at the entry,
Of the rickety gate
She noticed a flat stone,
Carved with her name,
It read,
“Best wishes dear girl,
Keep seeking the light,
Without contrast of darkness,
We would not reach great heights,
Take this small stone
Index and thumb,
Watch it skip water,
Its like magic and some!”
Approaching the ocean,
Her chest fell with ease,
The seagulls afloat,
The sound of the breeze,
She held the small stone,
Index and thumb,
And watched it skip water,
As the fish chased and swum,
She look down below,
Face luminant with thrall
The reflection she ached,
Was hers after all.
